Ninety-nine percent of cats and 90-year-old women agree: fireplaces, wool rugs, and fleece blankets are a winning combination. Lily is stretched out at the left of the fireplace because Mama took her chair.

I can only agree – even I’m not quite 90 yet

AND I got some slippers, which goes into the microwave oven for 90 seconds, whereafter they’ll sit on my feet warming them for a couple of hours.
(that’s instead of the fireplace, which is out on the terrasse
Just love modern technology

Anivid, What kind/type of slippers do you have that will hold together in a Microwave? I mentioned to my wife what you do with your slippers in the Microwave and she asked if you put them in a container to avoid food contamination later 😱
David, nice story re Lily and your mom. How cool you have a 90 year mom.

Bonjour the family Quetal

Slippers are of soft tissue with a filling of Lin seed (or soy seed or whatever seed) & lavender (or whatever fragrance).
Would have brought a pic – but the set-up doesn’t seem to allow for such thing
One can use MW or traditional oven.
As it’s a bit strange to walk in them, one’ll use them when sitting down, in my case in front of the computer, where I place my feet on a little footstool, hence not much contamination.
One can wipe them with a wet cloth beneath – hence no need to put them in a special container when in the oven, where the treatment further will destroy bacteria.
But of course for sitting-in-front-of-the-computer-use ther’s also the usb solution.
